Years ago, my coworkers and I would often unwind at McCormick & Schmick’s after a long, stressful day. The inviting atmosphere and consistently good food made it our go-to spot. Although that job ended long ago and many years passed without a visit, I recently returned to their Anaheim GardenWalk location for a special event and was pleased to rediscover what made it a favorite.
The restaurant sits on Katella Avenue, conveniently close to Disneyland and the Anaheim Convention Center. During the event I sampled an assortment of appetizers, desserts and signature cocktails. Everything I tried was flavorful, attractively presented and served with attentive care.
I was particularly impressed by the staff’s knowledge and helpfulness. As someone with food allergies, I often need to confirm ingredients and preparation methods. Each server I asked knew exactly what was in the dishes they were passing and how they were prepared. When others at my table inquired about private party and banquet options, the staff answered specific questions confidently and without hesitation.
