Mrs. Claus Cocktail Recipe: Festive Spiced Holiday Drink

This Mrs Claus cocktail is creamy, smooth, and delightfully festive. With just three ingredients, it’s easy to make and looks like a holiday party in a glass.

Two glasses - a classic martini and a smaller glass filled with the creamy cocktail with whipped cream and sprinkles

There are several drinks called Mrs Claus, but this version is my favorite. Its snowy white color topped with whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles feels playful and festive—perfect for holiday gatherings.

The flavors here are simple and seasonal: white chocolate liqueur, eggnog, and peppermint schnapps blend into a sweet, refreshing holiday cocktail. The peppermint adds a cool note, but the proportions keep it balanced so it doesn’t overpower the drink.

A generous dollop of whipped cream and a scattering of colorful nonpareils finish the look and add a fun texture. Serve this cocktail straight up in a martini glass or over ice in a short glass—the choice is yours.

  • Cranberry margarita
  • Bourbon cranberry cocktail
  • Pomegranate gin cocktail

Helpful tips

  • Use the white chocolate liqueur you prefer—Godiva is excellent, but other brands work well too.
  • Choose a high-quality eggnog for the best flavor; store-bought premium brands are fine.
  • Try the cocktail both with and without ice to see which you prefer.
  • Garnish with whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles (nonpareils). Edible gold hearts are optional for extra sparkle.

How to make the Mrs Claus cocktail

Pre-step

Have a cocktail shaker ready and fill it halfway with ice. Prepare a measuring glass and two serving glasses—one martini glass for the straight-up version and a small handled glass for the on-the-rocks version, if desired.

Step one

Gather the ingredients: white chocolate liqueur, eggnog, and peppermint schnapps.

Step four

Measure 1 ounce peppermint schnapps.

Step five

Add the measured ingredients to the shaker, cap it, and shake for about 15 seconds. If serving a drink over ice, add two ice cubes to that glass before pouring. Divide and strain the mixture between the two glasses.

Prepare the whipped cream and sprinkles for garnish.

Step six

Top each glass with a dollop of whipped cream and finish with rainbow sprinkles and optional edible gold hearts.
